Pelagic ships.,Iceland, and The Faroe Islands- 2025.List nr.7
List number 7
The total catch has reached 657 thousand tons
and of that catch, the ships from the Faroe Islands have caught 399 thousand tons
Now all the Icelandic ships are fishing mackerel and in that group there are ships
that have not been fishing at all this year
Although there was so much activity from the Icelandic ships, there was little activity from the ships
in the Faroe Islands. Because there were only six ships from the Faroe Islands that landed a catch and one of them was the Borgarin
which landed 7561 tons in four trips, mostly blue whiting and with that Borgarin has reached over 40 thousand tons of catch
Norðingur had 5589 tons in 3
Among the Icelandic ships, Börkur NK had 2872 tons in 4. and has now caught over 30 thousand tons
Vilhelm Þorsteinsson EA 1979 tons in 2
Beitir NK 2787 tons in 3
Aðalsteinn Jónsson SU 3140 tons in 3
Víkingur AK 3823 tons in 3
And Júpiter VE started fishing, but it is owned by two companies in Iceland.
It should be noted that Júpiter was built in 1975 and was fishing from Norway until the boat was sold to Iceland
in 2004, but in Norway the boat had the name Birkeland.

Júpiter VE pic Sverrir Aðalsteins, This boats was Birkeland in Norway from 1975 to 2004
