Two Daughters new boat to Scotland
Trefjar recently delivered a new Cleopatra boat to the island of North Uist in Scotland.
The Uist Islands are part of the Southern Isles, North West of Scotland.
The owner and skipper of the boat is Iain MacDonald.
The boat has been named Two Daughters. Two Daughters is a Cleopatra 40.
The main engine is an FPT C13 connected to a ZF 325IV gear. The generator is a Nanni 9kW.
The navigation equipment is from Furuno/MaxSea/Simrad.
The boat has a hydraulically driven bow thruster that is connected to the boat's autopilot.
The boat is equipped with Seakeeper stability equipment that reduces up to 80% of rolling. For increased comfort for the crew.
Two Daughters is equipped for trap fishing for Norway lobster and crab. The boat is expected to produce 1000-1200 lobster traps per day.
The train is equipped with a sprinkler system to keep the catch alive on board.
The boat's safety equipment is from Viking.
There is room for up to 15 x 380 liter tanks in the train.
The cabins have bunks for three to four people as well as cooking facilities with a stove, microwave and refrigerator.
According to the owner, the boat will be operated from North Uist all year round and he has already started fishing.
